Description:

A discussion and demonstration of Microfilm and Microfiche scanning technologies and how Virtual Film can help your agency. Find out how nextScan’s Virtual Film for Government, a budget friendly solution for governmental agencies who are considering microfilm or fiche conversion to a digital viewing system.

Virtual Film is allowing government agencies like the Department of Treasury and a number of state agencies and county governments to safely and economically replace their microfilm libraries by converting to a permanent digital format that can be easily distributed and viewed on any PC. This new software enables agencies to preserve vital records and reduces the costs associated with Microfilm. Agencies can approach a large conversion project in stages as budgets allow, while enabling access to film libraries during this conversion and setting the stage for full OCR and text search.
